Refund Policy
Last updated: 1 August 2026
This Refund Policy explains when you are entitled to a refund for a PigeonVault subscription. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
Free trial
Paid plans may start with a free trial. You are not charged during the trial, and you can cancel any time before it ends to avoid being billed. If you cancel during the trial, you will not be charged at all.
Cancellations
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals - you will not be charged again after you cancel. Your plan remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which your data becomes read-only for a grace period so you can export it.
EU right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. Because PigeonVault is digital content and services that begin immediately, by starting to use a paid feature during this period you acknowledge that you may lose this right once performance has begun, to the extent permitted by law. Where the right still applies, contact us within 14 days for a refund of amounts paid for the unused portion.
Refunds outside the withdrawal period
Subscription fees for the current period are generally non-refundable once the period has started, because you retain access for that period. We may, at our discretion, provide a full or partial refund in cases such as:
- a prolonged service outage that materially prevented you from using the Service;
- a duplicate or clearly erroneous charge;
- a billing error on our side.
Add-ons and usage
Usage-based add-ons (for example, additional pedigree processing) are consumed as used and are non-refundable once the underlying processing has taken place.
How to request a refund
Email billing@pigeonvault.com from the address on your account, including your account email and the reason for your request. We aim to respond within five business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method.
